Student drop-off begins at 8:45am. Please do not drop-off students before that time as there is no adult supervision available until 8:45 am.

ATB (After the Bell): After the Bell is a volunteer-run program provided by the Dwight PTA that offers after school enrichment to students during the Fall and Winter months. We offer classes taught by teachers and occasionally outside vendors.To participate in After the Bell, families must be members of the Dwight PTA. The parent volunteers work hard with the Dwight Administration to provide an easy, safe and fun environment for your children. Bus Schedules: In August you’ll receive an email through Infinite Campus with a link to the Bus Schedules. The Bus Transportation number is 203-255-8385 if you have questions or concerns. 

 

Cafeteria: Whitsons Culinary Group provides a variety of appealing and nutritious meals should you choose to not send your child to school with lunch. Monthly Menus can be found on the Fairfield School’s web site at http://fairfieldschools.org/parent-resources/food-services/. Copies can also be found each month in the Front Office. Infinite Campus offers a convenient, easy and secure way to make payments to your child’s account.

Infinite Campus: Is the primary portal for providing parents with District notices, Progress reports, School wide communication as well as Teacher/Classroom communication … classroom assignments. All parents will need an activation code to set up their account. Kindergarteners will receive their codes over the summer or in the beginning of school. New families will receive their activation code upon registration. Please email reghelp@fairfieldschools.org for lost or never received activation codes. Membership Toolkit: You're on it! This the Web site where the PTA Directory can be accessed. The Directory website/app gives you instant access to class lists, phone numbers and emails ~ you can even get directions to a play date. The Directory is one of the many benefits of being a PTA Member. Sign up here!

 

Movie Night: look out for information on the Annual Dwight Back-to-School Movie Night on Friday, October 6th. Bring your lawn chairs, grab some dinner from a variety of food trucks, while the kids enjoy crafts and games before the sun goes down and the Movie starts. Contact Annie Kruger and Leslie Feeley with questions.

 

Pick-up and Drop off Procedures: When dropping your child off at school please proceed up the driveway near the Tennis Courts and get into the car line. Children will be dropped off in the Staff supervised loop area and proceed to class. Doors will open at 8:45am and close at 8:55am. If there is no staff outside, that means the doors are locked. You must park and walk your child in through the front doors and proceed to the front office. For afternoon pick up you’ll proceed to the same area as drop off. Each car should have a sign in the front window with their last name. Name signs can be picked up in the Front Office. Please call the Office to let them know you need a name sign. 

 

PTA: The PTA sponsors many family and student events throughout the year. We also provide additional programming and other assistance to the staff to ensure our children receive the best education possible. To participate in most PTA sponsored events (and have access to the school directory), you must be a member of the PTA. School Supplies: ‘School Kits’ can be purchased in the spring for the following school year. Kits will be delivered directly to your child’s new classroom.  Please contact Laura Loffredo for more information: loffredo.laura@gmail.com.  Alternatively, you can purchase supplies directly. Most classroom teachers will provide a list in addition to the list provided by the district.
